Doggie Physics
by Shawn Piasecki

Dear Parents,

As you know, physics is a rigorous course to take, and your son/daughter is commended for taking on this challenge.  To make the course more meaningful to your child, I have produced a unit which will take four weeks to complete, which we will start next week.  At the end of each week there will be a quiz (three total), and homework problems will be assigned almost every night.  At the end of the fourth week there will be a unit project that your child must turn in, in which supplies such as poster board, markers, etc. should be purchased by the student.  The purpose of this unit is to make students more familiar with the way things move around us in everyday life.

If you have any questions about the project, do not hesitate to phone or e-mail me.  Please feel free to ask your child about what they are learning, as it will give them an opportunity to explain in their own words how each concept makes sense to them.

Please sign and detach the below information to be turned in by the next class period so that I know that you have read and understand what will be happening in our class for the next few weeks.

Thank you
