Comprehensive Exam Information

Please read carefully.

Successful completion of this exam is required for graduation with the Master of Education (MEd) degree. 


Students seeking to earn a Masters Education (MEd) degree from the department of Curriculum and Instruction should take the comprehensive exam during their last semester of the Master's program coursework.  Comprehensive exams are administered 2 times per year: Once in the Spring semester, and once in the Fall.   


Elementary Education 
The Elementary Education master's Comprehensive Exam is a Take-at-Home exam. The link below opens a page in which you may sign up for this exam. You may click the link for more information, without officially signing up. After signing up [and clicking "submit"], you will be added to a website upon which more information about the exam, a study guide, a grading rubric, due dates, and other information will be posted as the exam approaches. If you sign up for the exam, you will be contacted via email when this or any other information is added to the designated site.

Teacher Recruitement Program (TRP EC-6 only) Master's Comprehensive Exam

Elementary Education (MEd, CMEd EC-6 Bilingual, or CMEd EC-6 ESL) Master's Comprehensive Exam

Middle School (4-8) Master's Comprehensive Exam [Generalist, Sci, Math, or ELA/Soc St]

 


Secondary Education majors who are pursuing the MEd. degree must register to take the Comprehensive Exam in the last semester of their program.
