Graduate Student Resources
PURPOSE
As part of the 2023-2024 Dean’s Fellowship, this project will provide student support and professional development, specifically designed for COE master’s and doctoral students. Project BELONGS consists of three main initiatives: 1) weekly writing groups, 2) dissertation writing retreats, and 3) a monthly workshop series.
Weekly Writing Groups
Project BELONGS facilitates a learning community of COE graduate students for structured writing activities. Meetings are held weekly via Zoom or in person.
Dissertation Writing Retreats
The Fall 20223 COE Dissertation Boot Camp will take place from Friday, October 20 to Saturday, October 21, in the College of Education building on the Texas State San Marcos Campus.
Professional Seminar Series
Starting in Fall 2023, Project BELONGS will present online/in-person workshops, guest lectures, and professional development activities relevant to graduate student interests.
