| Day 1: Monday | Lab Investigation: What is Oobleck?
Students will have the chance to observe and investigate Oobleck
and decide what properties it has.  (lesson time: 45 minutes) |

            | Day 2: Tuesday | Scientific Convention: What are the
Laws of Oobleck? Students will meet to establish “laws”
of Oobleck.  (lesson time: 45 minutes) |

            | Day 3: Wednesday | Spacecraft DesignThe students will design a spacecraft that is able to land on
an ocean of Oobleck.  The spacecraft must be able to explore
the whole planet and take off again with all passengers aboard.
                (lesson time: 45 minutes)

            | Day 4: Thursday | Spacecraft Design Cont. and Spacecraft
Presentations -students will have time to finish up spacecraft design(25 minutes)
-the last portion of class, the children will be able to present
their spacecraft design to the class(20 minutes)

            | Day 5: Friday | Scientific Methods: The class will
learn what Oobleck consists of.  The teacher will reveal
that Oobleck is mad up of cornstarch, water, and green food coloring.
The students will discuss how they behaved like scientists during
each of the previous days working with Oobleck.  We will
summarize everything we've learned about Oobleck. (lesson time:
                45 minutes) |
