2023 Part-Time Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award

Congratulations to Dr. Mary Helen Pavia-Martinez, for receiving the College of Education’s 2023 Part-Time Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award!

This award recognizes part-time faculty excellence in teaching to further Texas State’s efforts to recognize outstanding faculty and acknowledge the many significant contributions of the nontenure line faculty. This award recognizes instructors who have not historically been eligible for university teaching awards.

Dr. Pavia-Martinez is a lecturer in the Department of Counseling, Leadership, Adult Education, and School Psychology.

“I am so thrilled and honored to be awarded the College of Education’s 2023 Part-Time Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award,” Pavia-Martinez said. “I began teaching in the Adult, Professional, and Community Education program in 2020 and I love working with our students who are or will be making a difference every day in adult teaching and learning.”

One award is bestowed in each academic college annually. The award consists of a certificate and a monetary award of $1,000. Learn more about the award.
