CLAS Lecturer Honored by TXST Faculty Senate With Part-time Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award

Dr. Jan A. Adversario received the Part-Time Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award for his work and accomplishments in the Department of Counseling Leadership, Adult Education and School Psychology (CLAS).
A part-time lecturer for CLAS, Dr. Adversario has had a diverse career in higher education and adult education since completing his doctoral degree in Adult, Professional, and Community Education from Texas State University.
According to the Faculty Senate, the part-time faculty award is a means to further the university's “…efforts to acknowledge outstanding faculty and the many and important contributions of the nontenure line faculty.” The awards program was established to recognize instructors like Adversario who are outstanding examples in the field but are not eligible for other major university teaching awards.
