Bobcat Bounty

Bobcat Bounty is the first student-run, on-campus food pantry at Texas State University. It is run by students under the direction of faculty from the Food Security Learning Community in the Nutrition & Foods Program.

The majority of the food comes from the Hays County Food Bank. This partnership has allowed for the creation of a grocery store style experience for participants. Students can go in and select the foods they would like from, which helps create autonomy and reduce food waste. 

The College of Education has two food cupboard locations available on the 3rd Floor of the Education Building near the elevators and on the 1st floor of Jowers Center in the student lounge.

Career Closet

The TXST Career Closet provides a way for students to access attire for attending events such as career fairs, interviews, networking events, and other career-related needs. 

In the closet, students can find items such as suits, blazers, dress pants, skirts, ties, blouses, and button-down shirts.

Open Closet

Open Closet is a free and inclusive thrift market for all Texas State University Bobcats to attend. The purpose of Open Closet is to provide a safe space for folks of all gender identities to freely look through & find clothing that best matches their authentic selves. While at the same time, diverting textiles from landfills in efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and to support the circular economy.

Group Counseling

Working on therapy goals within a group setting can be a highly supportive and productive way to address personal concerns. Students who share common concerns meet weekly as a group with one or more counselors to explore a specific topic and develop coping skills.  

Attorney for Students

The Attorney for Students (AFS) Office offers legal services to all currently enrolled Texas State University students.

AFS serves students by providing them with critical legal counsel, limited scope representation, and practical education concerning their legal rights and responsibilities. By providing legal service's AFS supports student retention by improving students' ability to focus on their education. AFS is supported by student service fees. There is NO additional cost for legal services. All case information is protected by attorney-client privilege and is treated confidentially by all AFS staff.

Dean of Students CARE Center

The Dean of Students CARE Center enhances student retention and promotes student success by providing compassion, advocacy, resources and education.

The CARE Center staff are able to assist students by providing the following services:
