Fall 2024 Teacher Residency Application - Special Education

How this Application Works

By submitting the form below, you're requesting consideration for placement in a Fall 2024 - Spring 2025 Teacher Residency in the All-Level Special Education degree program.  
The CI Department and Teacher Residency faculty will review your academic records and the information you provide here to make two determinations: 

  • Are you eligible to enroll in these courses? 
    This includes screening to ensure that you (a) are declared in the appropriate degree program, (b) have been admitted to the Educator Preparation Program or have applied and are on track to be admitted when grades post, (c) have at least a 2.75 Overall GPA, and (d) have earned C's or better in all required prerequisite coursework or are currently enrolled and on track to do so this semester. 
     
  • Are you a good fit for Teacher Residency?
    This includes reviewing information related to your interests, financial need, and more. Teacher Residency selection is competitive. If eligible but not selected, you'll be notified so that you can plan accordingly to submit a traditional block application when it opens on February 16.
