• Faculty Incentive Compensation for course buyout
  • With approvals you can use your grant funding to buy out a course assignment in a given semester and receive a portion of the cost of that buyout returned to you as an incentive.

• IDC Accounts
  • Some categories of expenditures from your grant are used for indirect costs (IDC), also called overhead or facilities and administration costs. A portion of those distributed funds are earned by the PI and deposited in your IDC account for use by you for research purposes. You can spend these on a variety of research-related purposes. • Grant Development and Submission Reassigned Time Initiative (Grant DSRT). The Grant DSRT initiative allows approved applicants a one-time course reassignment during a long semester to provide them the time necessary to support the development and submission of a substantial grant. There is a competitive application process and approvals, with deadlines – so plan early and often! Information and Application
