Online Book Club: Youth Scribes: Teaching a Love of Writing

Mondays In November: 2 on Zoom and 2 asynchronously

Please join Central Texas Writing Project CTWP Co-Directors Lori Assaf and Valerie Taylor as we discuss the book Youth Scribes: Teaching a Love of Writing, by experienced teacher and CTWP Teacher Consultant R. Joseph Rodriguez. Book club meetings and discussions will occur on Mondays  in November.

In Youth Scribes: Teaching a Love of Writing, R. Joseph Rodriguez invites educators and their adolescent students to see writing as an essential act of creation, identity and belonging. We will begin by exploring the value of seeing writers as scribes and the elements of forming a scribal identity.

This book study will take place within The Write Now Teacher Studio, a community of educators interested in writing, the teaching of writing and joyous learning both in and out of schools.

This community is free to join and only takes a few minutes.
