Grant Writing Collaboration

round table discussion

CTWP leaders are eager to partner with districts or other institutions to write grant proposals for federal, state, corporate, or non-profit support to advance teacher professional development in the area of writing instruction at all levels and in all content areas. We have a long history of this kind of collaboration and have recently been awarded grants that range from $500 to $300,000.

In addition, the CTWP can sub-contract with other institutions to provide professional development to Central Texas educators. For instance, the CTWP engaged in a federal research grant that was awarded to the University of California-Irvine Writing Project. The UCIWP’s grant engaged National Writing Project sites in seven states across the nation. The CTWP represented Texas and received more than $571,000 over six years to assist secondary teachers at Judson Independent School District.
